Quince Clash is about a young teenage girl named Fabiola Garza who never even wanted a quinceañera but ends up having one because of a selfish mean girl named Melodee who challenges her to a competition, of who has the most marbles quince from both of them in front of the whole school. Her younger sister, Alexis and her best friend, Milo sign her up in a T.V show named Quinceañera Dreams who make and organize every for the most elegant quince
anyone had ever seen in Dos Rios ,Texas. Becoming famous and popular, she soon meets a boy named Daniel who becomes a close friend, who she trust and tells him about her lie to the T.V show.
I do relate to Fabiola who down deep inside her did want a quince at first but because of her family economy she kept on saying and confirming she didn’t. Once the T.V show chose her she felt like the luckiest person. Of course if that had happen to me I would had felt the same
I enjoy reading this book because it relates to many teenagers, who are considered “losers” just for the fact that they don’t stand up for themselves. Showing to everyone in their school that bullying and being judgmental can give a turn and come back to attack the person who started being none sense in the first place. This book gives a whole story that reflects
conflicts many Hispanic faces in today society. My favorite part was when Fabiola thought she wasn’t going to have a quincenera because she lied but the T.V show knocks at her door and surprise her with the news that she’s still going to have one.
Yes I do recommend this book to everyone that is Hispanic.
