This is a story of a sick girl’s life and love story. Hazel Lancaster was terminally ill, and as well aware of it, but she found joy when she met Augustus Waters. They become friends the day they meet and soon after it become more than a friendship. They have great moment together and even get to travel overseas to meet an author Hazel always dreamed of meeting. They faced many problems in the book, the main one being of course their health, which is the main vocal point, besides their love, in the story.
I can’t really relate to the book because I have never had someone I was truly close to be that sick and near death. Even so, it saddened me that I couldn’t do anything for them. They may not be real, but I felt like I knew them and that they were my friends how were sick and going through these problems.
My favorite character had to be the main character Hazel. She had a great personality and I could see myself talking to her so easily. My least favorite part, if said would ruin the book, is the part that made me want to rewrite the laws of physics so I can go back in time to be in blissful ignorance to what would happen later.
I would recommend this book to every person I met because I liked it so much and it touched my heart and made me laugh so many times. Any person who likes witty comments, great characters, and a great love story would enjoy this book.
