The fact that interested me the most was Cleopatra’s love story. She fell in love with her Romeo, Mark Antony. They had gotten married in secret and their love affairs last until death did them part.
They were madly in love and both had the passion to take over the world. Their first target was Rome. Mark Antony died of a stab he gave himself, when he got a delayed message that Cleopatra
was dead. Mark Antony then travels to the mausoleum to see if she’s alright. The story goes on to where he dies in her hands and she dies of a poisoned hair pin. How random, but if there were modern medicine I’m sure she would have survived.
Some antidotes could be Alcoholic stimulants, ammonia, capsicum in a hot infusion, and digitalis, strophanthus or atropine by hypodermic injection, or nitro- glycerin, are most serviceable remedies. Even a pint of vinegar, diluted, saved one life.
