The Maze Runner is about a teenager named Thomas who wakes up in a strange place with no memory but his name. Thomas is surrounded by a group of other teenage boys, who also have no memory, with a million questions running though his mind such as to where they are and why they were sent to this place the boys call the Glade. These group of boys end up running into many problems when everything starts to unfold. They realized that nothing is going to be the same again when their constant structure start to go out of order.
I couldn’t relate to any of the characters in the book completely, but I feel that I most relate to Newt. I can relate to Newt the most in the ways that he wants to keep order in the Glade, and in how much he cares about his friend.
I really enjoyed reading the Maze Runner. It had me constantly wanting to know what happens next and looking for the answer that Thomas is looking for. My favorite part of the book is when they are trying to find the pattern to how to solve the maze because so many things are happening at once. I wouldn’t change the ending since the events that happen in the end were very interesting and because I believe that everything that happened has a purpose.
I would recommend this book to anyone who like survival books and for those who like to read about a different kind of world experience.
