This story is about Tom Raines who is a talented gamer that lives with his gambler father. Tom is then recruited by the Pentagonal Spire which is a military academy that trains young teens to fight in the current battle taking place, World War 3.  There he meets and makes some friends there who help him through future problem he faces.

I couldn’t really relate to the characters but I do have conversations like how Tom has with people. I thought Wyatt reminded me of someone I knew and other characters I have read about.  There personalities were almost opposite of each other’s but I found both likable.

I really liked this book. My favorite part was every part that involves Tom and his friend talking to each other because it was so funny and sounded like a normal conversation between friends. I don’t really have least favorite part in the book.

I would recommend this book because it was a fun easy read. I loved this book so much that I was already recommending it before I finished it. I think anyone who likes books that are creative and futuristic or just interesting books will like this book.

He was in it from the beginning. He was the start of the story. Everything he did was for her, he just wanted a companion. His life was taken away from him. He is very unpredictable and full of surprises. He made the whole story interesting. He is evilly creative. He is my favorite character. He is Leo.

I don’t relate to any of the characters experiences because I had never witness my shadow move without my consents and I’m positive that it’s not planning to murder me or anyone like the main character. Neither have I been abused like Leo or a fan of total weirdness like Lexi. Though, I have a weird friends but not creepy like the creep sisters, I do like photography and I’ve been taking pictures of several things and learning some cool technique but I don’t make videos and I’m not obsessed with it.

The book was intense and emotional for me. All the scenes where Leo appears either scare me or break my heart. He fits perfectly in the story. His appearances in the story makes my hearts beat fast and cry in sadness. He has hooked my curiosity and my hunger for drama. I don’t usually read this type of book but this one has been interesting, I think it’s the only scary book that made me cry.

I recommend this book to whoever wants or is planning to read the book, those people that are interested in paranormal and thrillers, this book is good. I like the drama but not the paranormal scenes even though it’s what made it interesting. Good book to read in the mornings in my opinion because this book made me scared of my own shadow at night or when I’m alone.
